In the building that the guesthouse is accommodated, all historical periods of the town of Rethymnon have left their marks.
Some stone built elements, such as the arcades and the arches, which are to be found on the ground and the first floor, date back to the era of Venetian domination while it acquired its final form, which consisted of a ground shop and a two-floor-house, in the verge of 19th century. This form is being preserved until the recent renovation. In the hand script notarial document (marriage contract), which dates back to the year of 1905 and is to be found in the Registry of Rethymnon, the building is already described with its current form.
The building has recently been renovated with respect to its historical value and by using the same traditional materials (stones and wood) and techniques that had been used for its initial construction.
